Some good news this week for all of us living in rural or semi rural Ireland . Amazon are now delivering electronics and video games to Ireland. For those of us living outside large cities - buying cameras or laptops or DVd recorders - anything like that - usually means taking at least half a day and a round trip of maybe 80 miles to get something decent. Even then - the prices and selection available are not great. There are a few websites delivering certain things to Ireland - but now Amazon has changed it’s rules it is a one stop shop for loads of great things - at prices way lower than you will usually get in Ireland.

Tesco Home Delivery is now available in some towns in Mayo - but not Ballyhaunis.
You can shop online in Castlebar, Claremorris, Breaffy, Ballyvary, Turlough, Balla, Westport, Newport and Boohola . Any places between CAstlebar and these towns should also be covered by Tescos.
Check the Tesco site now and get shopping. It might take a while to do your first order - and you might think it’s not worth the hassle - but the system stores your orders , making it much quicker to do a repeat order the next time. They do charge for delivery - but think of the time and petrol and hassle it will save you …

If reports in the press this week are true - then Tesco Home Delivery is coming to Ballyhaunis and several other Mayo towns.
The Tesco Online Shopping site is not yet confirming that they will deliver in Ballyhaunis or castlebar or Claremorris - but keep checking in the next few days.
Tip - when you register your address it will probably say it doesn’t recognise it - especially if you live in a rural area - but don’t give up.
