In the early 1930’s Michael A. Keane founded a business in Knox Street, Ballyhaunis which began manufacturing household furniture. The first items designed and made were dressers, tables and chairs.

Over time the company outgrew its premises and moved to a new purpose built plant in 1972 from where the company has gone from strength to strength. Focussing on the contract and new development market Keane Kitchens have grown to be one of the largest suppliers of contract kitchens to the building sector in Ireland.
